Comprehensive Eye Exams

Comprehensive eye exams are a set of assessments to evaluate your overall eye health and visual functions. It not only allows the doctors to detect any occurrence of ocular diseases, but also to diagnose any systemic conditions such as diabete and high blood pressure, as well as rare conditions such as immunological and cancerous conditions. More importantly, these exams allow the evaluation of critical visual functions important in our daily tasks such as reading, driving, playing sports, and occupational performance. Patients are encouraged to have annual comprehensive eye exams, especially for young children and older patients before 40 years of age.

Your health insurance and vision insurance provide free coverage of eye exams, and pays for necessary optical correction, such as eyeglasses and contact lenses. Children’s visual functions are important and are often covered by these plans, as well as government-sponsored coverage.
